To visit the Eisenhower farm and tour the large farmhouse, one needs a $9 bus ticket, purchased at the Gettysburg Visitor Center.

Or - you can simply arrive around 6:30 am and drive to a small parking lot near the house. I chose this method as I did not have a great interest in touring the house itself.

I was, of course, the only one there! I was able to stroll around the property, enjoy the view of the distant South Mountain, and take several photos. The house is a good size, with a large barn-like building nearby. This was used more for large meetings than farm storage.

A small guest house sat in the front and a putting green occupied a patch of the back yeard. There were a few other out-buildings in this area.

About half a mile away was what the maps called "Farm 2", which would have held the farm animals and other true farm equipment. Despite being just a short distance from the always-busy Gettsyburg Battlefield, the farm seemed quiet and peaceful - something I can imagine Eisenhower appreciated after decades of military and political service.
