Beautiful weather amplified the natural beauty of this park. The only negative was a slight haze hanging over the park that softened, then obscured, the more distant mountain views.

My trip followed Trail Ridge Road up beyond 12,000 feet above sea level, where my lungs, used to living 60 feet above sea level, were huffing and puffing at each photo stop.

On the far side of the park, as I descended back to a "reasonable" 8,000 feet, I passed over the Continental Divide. One would think that would be at the highest point along the road, but it isn't.
