I did complete Trip 9 as planned back in June. As one can see, I have only posted seven blog entries though the trip included 19 park sites. Where are the rest?

During the trip itself, I managed to get myself behind on writing blog entries. I figured I would catch up when I got home. Instead, My time was diverted as a close family member ended up in the hospital for just under two weeks only days after I returned. Once she was home, I left for a planned week in Cincinnati to visit and meet my daughter, who returned to Florida with me – her first “vacation” since joining the working world!
Only days after she returned to Iowa, the same family member was back in the hospital with very serious symptoms. Fortunately, it was not what we feared, but she stayed another week for observation.
Yes, I had time during July to write the blogs – but my mind was elsewhere. Thus, they have not been written – yet. I write this on the brink of departing for my 10th trip, so for continuity’s sake, I will be writing “placeholder” entries for those remaining sites from trip 9, filling them in from my notes as time allows.
Meanwhile, in just over 24 hours, I fly to Denver to start my tenth trip in and around the Rockies.
